Influence of Fly Ash Denitrification on Properties of Hybrid Alkali-Activated Composites

This article deals with the possibility of partial replacement blast furnace slag (GGBFS) fly ash after denitrification (FAD) in alkali-activated materials. Physical-mechanical and durability properties were tested, hydration reaction was monitored, infrared spectroscopy performed. Results compared between mixtures prepared without (FA), also a mixture based only on GGBFS. The basic result is that hybrid alkali-systems FAD show similar trends to FA. significant effect manifested terms its resistance freeze-thaw processes. Reactions calorimeter slower development reactions increasing GGBFS due lower reactivity ash. Through testing leaching resistance, decrease flexural strength found. may be descaling main product, C–(A)–S–H gel.
